Established in 1996 in Gurgaon, India, Sankalp Welfare Society is a volunteer-managed organization driven by the belief that grassroots efforts can bring meaningful change. Through years of sustained commitment, it has focused on providing education and empowering communities, making a lasting impact on countless lives.

Beneficiary Profile

Sankalp works with children from extremely economically disadvantaged backgrounds, primarily migrants from regions such as Bangladesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and other northern states of India. These children reside in slum settlements within a 5 to 7 km radius of the schools. The diverse cultural and regional backgrounds of the beneficiaries not only enrich the educational experience but also foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that every child feels supported and valued.

Our mission is to empower underprivileged children by providing them with equal opportunities to access professional training and skill development programmes. These efforts equip them with the knowledge and abilities required to build successful careers and break the cycle of poverty.

HOLISTIC APPROACH

We emphasize holistic development through a well-rounded education that goes beyond academics. Our classes in music, dance, art, craft, and games foster creativity, talent, teamwork, and physical well-being, ensuring students grow with confidence and essential life skills.

By covering expenses such as school fees, study materials, and transportation, we aim to bridge the gap for children who face economic challenges in pursuing their academic aspirations.
